"In my view it should be mandatory
for all coaches to be members of Coaches
of Canada. If we want coaching to be
valued in Canada, if we want to be able
to show the positive impact the profession
of coaching can have on so many, we
need to have a strong collective voice.
That voice is the Coaches of Canada.
I would encourage all Canada Games coaches
to become members and part of the rally
cry that says COACHING MATTERS!"
- Sue Hylland, President and CEO, Canada
Games Council

all sports, both professional and amateur.
Our members are people who have chosen
to be a coach. What uniformly characterizes
our members is that they are recognized
and respected as professionals. Our
members coach at the highest levels
of Canadian sport as well as at all
levels in communities across our country.
The vision of the organization is rooted
in the belief that coach leadership
consistently represents the highest
attainable standards and is delivered
with competence by practitioners who
are regarded as well-trained, skilled,
and ethical educators. The vision embodies
coaching as a respected and viable career
choice for those who select coaching
as their life work. We envision a sport
system that is coach-led and athlete-focused.
