Coaches of Canada History

In November 2005, Coaches of Canada became an autonomous organization. Formerly, Coaches of Canada was an executive committee of the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) known as the Canadian Professional Coaches Association (CPCA).

Coaches of Canada separated from CAC in order to better represent Canada's professional coaches. The purpose of Coaches of Canada is to advance the profession of coaching; and to advance the contribution coaches make to individuals, teams communities and society.

Although independent of CAC, Coaches of Canada maintains an active partnership with Canada's coach education body.

Our Identity

Our new graphic identity and logo is simple, clean and strong - expressive of who Coaches of Canada is.

The arc (or 'Flying A') expresses the spirit of our identity; it is aspirational; it points to possibility.

In a simple way, it expresses the coaches' perspective and orientation; recognition of, belief in, and contribution to the potential of those with whom they work.
