| Coaches of Canada has six strategic directions to ensure the goals are reached:
|
| |
•
| Membership, Promotion and Affiliations - to create, maintain, and promote an association of coaches with a commitment to professional standards of practice |
•
| Education and Experience Standards - to ensure that a
relevant body of knowledge necessary to the carrying out of the acts of
the professional coach is accessible to aspiring professionals and is
taught in a fashion demanding consistently higher standards of
knowledge and competency |
•
| Ethical Standards - to ensure the professional coaching community works to laudable ethical standards in the execution of its tasks |
•
| Upgrading and Professional Development - to ensure
coaches continue to have the most current technical information as it
evolves and that coaches have a basic understanding of professional
skills (legal, management, etc.) necessary to support their coaching
duties |
•
| Advocacy - to establish the credibility of the
coaches' voice and to ensure that it is represented in key
decision-making bodies of sport |
•
| Professional Services - to provide the members with a range of services aimed at facilitating access to information and enhancing career development. |
