| They are hidden, often overlooked resources in our cities and towns.
They are people who are shaping and molding our next generation of
Canadians. Given the important and pivotal role that coach leadership
plays in sport and human development, Coaches of Canada is working
towards a mechanism that pulls the coach community closer to be able to
express a stronger collective voice; to improve communications and
promotion of coaches; to raise the status of coaches; to improve
working conditions for coaches; and to develop joint efforts amongst
the constituencies to improve the career path for coaches in Canada.
To qualify for membership in Coaches of Canada a coach must achieve
specific levels of both education and certification, bring a minimum of
two years full-time coaching experience, and abide by a code of ethical
conduct. |
